We all know Peppa pig, one of the most famous cartoon characters known for her whiny voice and well-known snort, but did you know she’s getting a new voice. Harley Bird voiced Peppa since she was 5 years old! Harley is now 18 years old and won an award for her role as Peppa pig in 2011. Harley has voiced Peppa in a huge number of episodes, 185 episodes to be exact and performed songs for the new “Peppa pig my first album”
Sadly, Harley announced she would be leaving the show and 9-year-old Amelia Bea Smith would be the new voice to Peppa. Amelia will debut as Peppa in the valentines episode Harley describes the cast of the show as a family and said it had given her unforgettable memories.
Before being chosen for Peppa, Amelia worked on Eastenders and appeared in multiple episodes. Peppa pig first aired on U.K.s channel 5 milkshake and nick junior in 2004 and is now available in 180 countries and being broadcasted in 140 languages.
Even though Harley has voiced Peppa for over 13 years she wasn’t the first one, previously Lily Snowden fine and Cecily Bloom voiced Peppa.
