TALL BLACKS BEAT JAPAN

Writer's picture: Bradley HughesBradley Hughes

The result was a good comeback after the disappointment of not making the second round.

The Tall Blacks started good, with a 10 point lead in the start of the first quarter. However, Japan had a comeback to tie the scores up at 29-29 after 10 minutes.

That was as close as the two sides would be for the entire match.

He was helped by his core group of teammates – Isaac Fotu had 23 points and 10 rebounds, Tai Webster 15 points, Rob Loe 12 points, and captain Tom Abercrombie 10 points.

A win should see them reach the Olympic qualifying tournament.
