WHEN IN DOUBT, DON'T THROW IT OUT!

Writer's picture: Jessica KinsmanJessica Kinsman

Have you walked past a piece of rubbish and not picked it up? Most people will say yes I will have to admit, even I have done it before, but this is a bad thing and we need to stop NOW! But how can we stop this habit of ours, well I am going to be telling you how to stop.

Starting off small, like our lunch boxes. We have rubbish all over the place and a lot of it is from our lunch boxes. This is because instead of keeping our rubbish in our lunch box we throw it on the ground or the wind picks it up and we don't go and grab it.

So next time you don't like something in your lunch, instead of throwing it away, keep it in your lunch box and go tell your mum, dad or your parent guardian. Another thing to help is when you are playing on the playground or on the field/courts if you see a piece of rubbish flying around, instead of leaving it, pick it up and put it in the bin.

Even picking up multiple small pieces of rubbish can make a huge impact on our environment and if we don't stop doing what we are doing now our world will be over!

How scary does that sound?? We can all make a change and a difference in our environment if we all work together!
