A sea lion has been spotted with a impressive object lodged in its neck.
The New Zealand sea lion trust said in a Facebook post on Wednesday, that the animal was last spotted around Sandfly Bay, near Dunedin.
A picture of the sea lion appears to be a large fish hook with a fish on the end of it embedded in its neck.
People that were around the sea lion at the time, many were sharing their shock and upset at the sea lion's situation.
