Today was a special day. We decided to go down to the Pukeko hub and interview the little astronomers and the space teachers. The teachers invited an expert worker from NASA to help out and teach the kids about the wonders of space.
The children were interested in the different types of planets and what it is made up of, so the teachers made it their goal of the term. All of the children have been learning and focusing on space for the past 10 weeks.
Each week they have a space activity to do. Such as making their own astronaut helmets. The NASA space expert came along and brought a huge bag full of astronaut equipment to show what they use when they go to space and how they use it.
They showed the children through google searches, websites, and YouTube where these planets can be located and multiple facts. Sam and Bella went down to Pukeko Hub and asked to take some photos of all of the different ‘FUN’ things happening. The little Martians known as Pukeko were rather cute, while being huddled together by their leaders.
First we met the leaders and asked them a few questions that we gave the answer to, then we went back to our home planet and showed off our alien suits, finally we got back to their planet, returned our skins to the dry cleaners and took photos and we came back to finish this back-breaking article to you guys and gals
