Have you ever went to school one day and someone came up to you or something or something popped up, where you could sign up for something competitive or doing a particular type of sport?
Some children are very athletic, they like to go outside and participate in a variety of Physical Education, while some other children would rather stay inside and not cooperate in other sports.
When children grow up they tend to start finding a specific activity that they enjoy doing and they will start to work harder in that sport, and that is when they start to become competitive and compete against other people.
If someone starts off with competition and they win an award then they will go through to the next round.
If you win that competition you can do nationals or travel to different places or countries etc. On the weekends or sometimes if your free after training your parents or family will sit down with you beforehand to lay out the expectations of your sport and see if you are fully committed to what you are doing.
If you sign up for a competitive sport, you should be doing it for the right reasons not joking around, put lots of hard work and effort into it!
Competitive sports can be brilliant for building children's confidence!
From teammates telling them they've done a great job of a challenge or accomplishing their goals that they haven't achieved before. Competitive sports can be a real boost to self-esteem and help with your well being!
